Rotorcraft - Search and Rescue

Rotorcraft are an essential component of search and rescue efforts, but their already difficult mission can be complicated by improper coordination between the command center and searchers on the ground, on the water, and in the air. The flexibility and reliability of the Iridium Certus® service is set to become the new standard in SAR communications. Iridium Certus will enable real-time voice and data services, including broadband IP that will enable streaming video from the aircraft to the command center, and return updated information to the searchers in the field.
